About reservation and application

What hours does the reception operate and which day is off?

In general, business hours are from 8:30 to 17:30.
However, this time may change in accordance to facility usage situation.
Days off are from 29th December to 3rd January in New Year’s holiday season.
Also, facility may be closed due to inspection.

When is the start of accepting orders?

For the Main Hall, the International Conference Room, the Conference Rooms the date of accepting orders is the first day of the month of 1-yeas ago use, and for the Small Conference Rooms is the first day of the month of 6-months ago use
Please see “Usage guide” as accepting orders date may chance depending on the event.

Is it possible to make a reservation by phone?

It is possible to make a reservation by phone. Please ask the vacant day of use by phone and do tentative reservation.

That is the timing of meeting or preview?

The personnel will ask you to held meeting 7 to 10 days before the event at the latest. Preview of the facility is accepted in accordance of vacancy of the facility.

Is it possible to use “Nagaragawa Convention Center” in purpose other than meetings or conventions?

In the facility there are theater style the Mail Hall, so it is possible to organize various types of event as concerts, performing arts, tournaments or lectures.
Each conference room is suitable for convention, exhibition or reception party as well.

Is it possible to do photo shooting in the facility?

In case of doing photo shooting or preview of the facility, please come to The Office in the 1F.
Photo shooting during preview by organizers is allowed.

Where is the Nagaragawa Convention Center? How long does it take to go there?

Nagaragawa Convention Center is placed along Nagawagawa River, the north side of the center of Gifu City. For details, please see area map.

 Taxi from JR Gifu station, Meitetsu Gifu station: takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes
【Access by car】
 ・From Meishin Expressway Gifu Hashima IC via Gifu Kanjo Line: takes approximately 40 minutes
 ・From Meishin Expressway, Ichinomiya IC and National Highway 22, proceeding north via Gifu City: takes approximately 50 minutes
 ・From Tokai Hokuriku Motorway, Gifu Kakamigahara IC and National Highway 21, proceeding west via Gifu City: takes approximately 40 minutes
【Access by airplane】
 From Central Japan International Airport (Centrair): takes approximately 80 minutes

Which is the closest station?

The closest station is JR Gifu station and Meitetsu Gifu station.
Please come to the facility by bus or taxi.

Which is the closest bus stop?

The closest bus stop is “Nagaragawa Kokusai Kaigijo (Nagaragawa Convention Center)” (1 min walk) or “Nagaragawa Kokusai Kaigijo Kitaguchi (Nagaragawa Convention Center North)” (3 mins walk)
Buses drive every 10 mins from 7:00 to 22:00.

Is there a car parking?

There are three parking’s in the places mentioned in below. For details, please see car parking/bicycle parking area map.
【 Toll car parking 】
・Gifu Miyako Hotel joint underground car parking (189 cars): fee is 100 JPY per every 30 mins
・Gifu Memorial Center South car parking area (269 cars): fee is 100 JPY up to 3 hours and 100 JPY per every 30 mins after this time.
【Free of charge car parking】
Nagragaoka car parking is free of charge (20 cars).
*Due to the event in neighboring facilities, it may be full.
*We advice to use public transportation.

Where is the parking for bicycles and bikes?

Please use bicycle parking in the north side of the building.

Is it possible to come by bus and stop the bus in the site?

As a general rule, it is not allowed for pickup bus to enter facility site, however there are exceptions, so please contact us if you need.
Also, there is a space for 14 cars in Gifu Memorial Center South car parking area. This needs reservation, so please contact us in case you prefer to use it.

About facility use and service

Is it possible to enter by lorry’s or cars? What is the maximum capacity of the lorry or car?

In case of use of the Main Hall, there is a possibility to enter by lorry’s up to 11 t in the Service yard.
For regular cars, is it allowed to enter from 10 to 15 cars.
Please contact us in case of using other facilities.

Is there an elevator for loading and unloading?

Please use elevator no.2 next to the General Information or elevator no.3 in the back of The Office.

・Authorized payload:0.75t(suitable for 11 people)

Is it possible to ask the personnel to give help in event preparation or removal?

Please manage all layout change and removal after finish of the event by the organizer.

Does the personnel do the cleaning and waste disposal?

As a general rule, we ask the organizer to takeaway all the garbage occurred during event.
In case you prepare garbage bag (45 l, transparent or half-transparent), it is possible to do waste disposal in the facility by 300 JPY/1 pack (excluding raw trash).

Is it allowed to eat and drink inside the facility?

It is allowed to eat and drink inside the facility (except the moving floor area of the Main Hall).
In case you offer cooked food, please apply to Gifu City Public Health Center and the facility in advance.

Is it possible to ask the facility to prepare lunch box or signboard in the conference rooms? Or incase organizer prepares them by himself, is there any designated catering company?

There is a “Convention Support Service”, which carry out this service.
There is no designated catering company.

Is it possible to cook food using fire?

Please contact Gifu City Public Health Center and apply to us “Application for event holding” in advance.

Is it possible to use fire in the facility?

In case of using naked flame in the stage of the Mail Hall or bringing any hazardous materials inside, please first check with the personnel of the facility and after his approval, apply “Application for approval of cancellation of prohibited acts” to Gifu Fire Department. After their approval, please apply to us “Application for fire use”. For some reasons, there is a possibility to pass it only with “Application for event holding”.

Is it possible to send baggages to the facility in advance? And is it possible to resend it from the facility after the finish of the event?

It is possible for the facility to accept baggages in advance (except C.O.D. parcel).
Please share us information on number, size and arrival date of the parcel, and white name of the organizer and date on the carton.
We do not accept valuables or fragile objects.
It is possible to resend parcels by C.O.D. Regarding “You pack”, prepayment is allowed.
Please come to take Invoice in The Office in 1F.

Is it possible to do copy or FAX?

There is copy and FAX machine in The Office in 1F (charged).
・Copy, one side, 1 page/lack and white: 10 JPY, color: 50 JPY
・FAX (1 page)/inside city: 50 JPY, outside city: 100 JPY

Is it possible to do sells, exhibition or food/drink delivery in The Citizen’s gallery?

In case you occupant the facility together with shared space, please apply “Application for Citizen’s gallery use” .
Please do not forget to follow instructions of the personnel and ensure the evacuation route.

Could the facility post event information in the entrance area?

Event information of today is posted on the Information Board in the left hand wall of North Entrance.

Is it possible to put posters, stickers or bulletins?

Please refrain from direct attachment of poster or stickers to the wall and use magnets in sign stands or bulletin board.
Please ask The Office in 1F in case of using plastic pallet or hook.

It is possible to bring projectors and other equipment?

Feel free to bring any equipment with you. In case you plan to use electric equipment, charges for floor outlet might incur. Also, depending on the facility, there is different capacity of use. In case you have any questions, please contact us.

Is it possible to use phone?

There is rental service of temporary phone and FAX (call charged)/ temporary phone: 058-296-1337,058-296-1338
Also, there is extension phone in each facility. Please use phone line to contact The Office or other facilities.

Is it possible to use mobile phone?

Mobile phone use is allowed in all facilities.

Is it possible to use internet or LAN?

There is free Wi-Fi spot in the Coffee Lounge in 2F.
Organizers may rent VSDL (charged). Internet connects after connecting PC to LAN cable. Please prepare PC, hub or wireless LAN base unit by your side.

Is it possible to rent a PC?

There is no PC rental service.

Are there coin lockers?

There are coin lockers (W36㎝×H38㎝×D42㎝), charged 100 JPY, in the places mentioned in below.

Is there AED (Automated External Defibrillator)?

There is one AED in Information Center in 1F, South Door in 1F and the Lobby in 4F in each place.

Is it possible to control air conditioning?

Is it possible to control air conditioner inside the room in the Conference Room 1 – 5 (free of charge) and the Special Conference Room (free of charge).
For the Main Hall (charged), the International Conference Room (charged), the Large Conference Room, on off of the air conditioning is managed by the facility administrator. Please contact us on the temperature regulation at any time.

Is there any financial support scheme in case of organizing big scale events?

There is subsidization scheme in Gifu Convention and Visitors Bureau and Gifu Prefecture.
For details, please see “Support for event and convention organization” page in Gifu Convention and Visitors Bureau’s or Gifu City’s HP.

Is it possible to buy tickets in the counter?

It is possible to buy tickets in the counter (10% change for commission).
For some events, there are no tickets sold in the counter.

Is there any restaurant inside the facility?

There is no any restaurant inside the facility. Please use restaurants in Miyako Hotel or convenience stores in the neighboring area.
There is vending machine in the Coffee Lounge in 2F.
Regarding food and drink which you brought with yourself, it is possible to eat and drink it in the Lobby or other places in the facility (except the audience area of The Main Hall).

Are there any hotels nearby?

There are Miyako Hotel placed next to the facility and some hotels in the neighborhood of Nagaragawa River.

Is there a bank and post office nearby?

There is no back or ATM inside the facility, so please use ATM placed in the nearest convenience store.
There is “Gifu Nagara” post office, 10 mins walk away.

Where is The Office?

The Office is in the left hand back of General Information in 1F.

How to go to The International Conference Room?

The International Conference Room is placed in 5F. Please use elevator in the left side of General Information or stairs/escalator up to 4F and take stairs from 4F. It is also possible to go to 5F by elevator placed in the back of the Office.

About facility use and service

Is there a place for rest?

There is rest space in the Coffee Lounge in 2F with tables and chairs and free Wi-Fi and vending machine.
There is another vending machine in the Foyer of the Main Hall in 1F and the Lobby in 4F.

Is there a smoking place?

As a general rule, it is not allowed to smoke inside the facility. Please use designated smoking area.

Is there a cloakroom?

There is no regular cloakroom in the facility.
There are spaces which may be used as a cloakroom in the Foyer in the Main Hall. Please ask organizer about its use.

Is there a public phone?

There are two places where public phone is placed: first in General Information and the Foyer of the Main Hall in 1F (inside the facility) and second, next to the “Nagaragawa Kokusai Kaigijo (Nagaragawa Convention Center)” bus stop (outside the facility).

Is there a possibility to call taxy?

Please call taxi by your side. There are contact number placed two places inside facility: General Information and the Foyer of the Main Hall.

Is there a nursing room or baby-care room?

There is no regular nursing room or baby-care room.
If you need to use nursing room, please as The Office in 1F.
Also, there are some cases in which organizer sets up baby-care room. Please ask organizer for details.

Is there a restroom with baby or handicapped space?

There is a restroom with baby or handicapped space in each floor.
Also, there is baby bed in the women restroom in the Main Hall in 1F, the restroom in 2F, the women restroom in 4F.

Is it possible to use mobile phone? Mobile phone use is allowed in all facilities.

There is a possibility to rent a wheelchair. There are three wheelchairs in the facility. Please ask the personnel for use.

What kind of barrier free service is there in the facility?

There is a slope in the Front Door of the facility, elevators and escalators in each room and handrail in the stairs.
Also, there is a space for wheelchair (3 chairs) in the first line in the Main Hall in 1F.

Where is the place to pick up lost and found objects?

Please contact The Office in 1F in case of finding or loosing items. Regarding wallets or cash, it is delivered t the Gifu North Police Office, and other objects are kept for 3 months in the facility and disposed after this time.

Is it possible to come to the facility with animals?

Animals, except guide dog, hearing assistance dog, service dog, are not allowed to bring to the facility.

It is possible to do tour or preview of the facility?

There is no possibility to have a tour around rental facility area or backyard. Shared space preview is allowed in case there are no other events held in this day. In case you wish to do the tour around the facility, please contact us.

Is there a seating chart?

Please see “Facility guide” or “Download application form and map” in HP where you can find PDF file of the seating chart.

Which line is the front seat in 2F in The Main Hall?

It is places in line 24 approximately.
For details, please see seating chart.

Is there any restaurant inside the facility?

There is no any restaurant inside the facility. Please use restaurants in Miyako Hotel or convenience stores in the neighboring area.
There is vending machine in the Coffee Lounge in 2F.
Regarding food and drink which you brought with yourself, it is possible to eat and drink it in The Lobby or other places in the facility (except the audience area of the Main Hall). Please take wastes with you.

Are there any hotels nearby?

There are Miyako Hotel placed next to the facility and some hotels in the neighborhood of Nagaragawa River.

About the events and tickets

How to get event information?

Please see “Event guide” and “Organized business”.
For some reason, event information may not be stated due to organizer’s wish. Also, there is no information on small meetings with individual use.。
*There is a possibility that posted information will change.

How to buy tickets for the events?

Regarding purchase of the tickets, please directly ask the organizer.
Some rickets are sold in the General Information or The Office.

How to get an information about seating place in the concert place?

Please see picture about the seating place seen from the stage in the Main Hall part of HP.

How to send flowers to the performer?

We do not look after the flowers. Please contact the organizer.
